Robert Gale, LMT
I began my journey into the profession of bodywork over 15 years ago as a client. As someone who is an avid skier, hiker and mountain biker I’ve had my share of body aches, injuries and muscle pain. Through all this I found that the most effective treatments for me fell under the umbrella of “bodywork,” as opposed to doctors and medication. Bodywork was the only treatment that had truly lasting results. When it was time for a career change, it was this accumulated experience, along with bodywork keeping my wife from having shoulder surgery and the deep desire to help people, that prompted me to enter this field and work on the other side of the table. I initially spent two years getting my education, working with Dr. Plyer, (the founder of Boise Pain Management, who has since retired) and attending Three Oaks Academy in Boise. This entailed hundreds of hours of class and clinical work, including numerous case studies and working with many different modalities such as Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Triggerpoint Therapy, Hydro and Cryo Therapy, Myofascial Release Techniques, Muscle Energy Techniques, Active Stretching (PNF), Cranial Sacral Therapy and Structural Integration. I am also constantly adding to my education, striving to learn as much as I possibly can about how the amazing human body works and what new breakthroughs are pushing this industry forward.
